Mission Zero to ClimateTakeback: Lisa Conway of Interface

Lisa Conway of Interface

Great visit to campus yesterday from Lisa Conway, VP of Sustainability, Americas for Interface, the innovative carpet company.

In the 1990's, Interface's founder and CEO Ray Anderson set out his bold Mission Zero goal: to be off petroleum by 2020. Traditionally, most carpet is nearly 100% petroleum based by the way. Now they have a new target called ClimateTakeBack focused at reversing climate change. They are worth knowing about if you don't know the Interface story or Ray's books Midcourse Correction and Confessions of a Radical Industrialist.

We showed this video in class about their Net Works program sourcing polymers from old fishing nets.
